Water Rescue
With the various types of waterways in our fire district and neighboring districts the Getzville Fire Co. has provided water rescue services for the last few decades. In the last few years our members have joined with the East Amherst and Ellicott Creek Fire companies to create a water rescue task force. With multiple agencies we are able to provide for many facets of rescue. Members are trained as rescue divers, and also provide ice rescue and swift water rescue specialties. We are proud to say that we have over a dozen members from our company that are trained divers. In 2007 we designed a new truck Rescue 4-1 to respond to such emergencies. This vehicle has the latest in technologies and safety features to help aide our members when the job calls for it.
